In 1994, Ferrari presented the heir of the turbulent Ferrari 348, with a design that was apparently close and modernized to a great extent, in terms of style and efficiency. With its new gown signed Pininfarina, the F355 turned into the pinnacle of the Berlinetta de Maranello lineage, combining effectiveness, versatility and style.

If the general line of the F355 was strongly reminiscent of the 348, it gave up the deep-rooted style of the 80’s, derived from the Testarossa, for a more fluid design, with the wind tunnel testing and used the Formula 1 techniques (mainly the flat base allowing better downforce).
As for the V8 engine, dating back to the 70’s, evolved with its 3.5 liters cylinders, 389 horsepower and 5 valves per cylinders, in order to endow the F355 with exceptional performance for those days, all the while remaining much more accessible than the 348, which was less powerful, from 40 to 60 horsepower, depending on the versions.
Today, the F355 is an iconic model of the 90’s, a more appealing, safer and more modern Youngtimer than the 348 and which preserved an endearing look, lost by the 360 Modena later on.
