This Range Rover is the first of the 4 Cantilever models prepared by Halt’up for participation in the Paris-Dakar rally in 1991. It represents the culmination of 10 years of experience accumulated by the Parisian preparer ‘Halt’ Up!’, a reference in that era for Range Rover Rally Raid vehicles. This generation is particularly known for its suspension system with horizontal shock absorbers, revolutionary at the time.

This model has a certain competition pedigree. (Numerous photo and video archives confirm this track record.)
It participated in the 1991 Paris-Dakar with Bulto at the helm, where it finished 36th in the general classification and 5th in the T2 category. The same year, the driver Servia, behind the wheel of a second identical model, finished 17th overall and 1st in the T2 category.
In 1991, our specimen also took part in the legendary Baja 1000 race with Salvador Servia driving.
In 1992, the famous F1 driver Patrick Tambay took the wheel of this model and embarked on the Dakar adventure as an amateur.
Subsequently, our specimen participated in the Tunisia Rally, the Atlas Rally, and finally the 24 Hours All-Terrain of 2000, which it finished without difficulty in 40th position.

Following these numerous rallies, the vehicle was stored in a private collection until 2022. The current owner then purchased it and undertook significant work to restore this Range Rover to perfect working condition. It is now eligible for the Dakar Classic and many other historic rallies: Pioneers, Oasis, Africa Eco Race.....
