Introduced in 1989 as a replacement for the R107, the R129-generation SL represented a technological milestone for Mercedes. This SL, designed by Bruno Sacco, is the ultimate status car. Its dimensions, the quality of its finish and the engines it packs show that this is no mere cabriolet. The proof is in the pudding: it has been driven by some of the greatest names in the world.
Our R129 300 SL, registered in France in 1998, has benefited from a Mercedes-Benz dealer follow-up by its current owner, who has owned it since 2012. The 3-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine develops 231 bhp, which is transmitted to the rear wheels via a manual gearbox. This car is in excellent condition.
