Estado general
Our car, one of the few to have been delivered new in France, therefore has Marchal lights fitted at the time by Franco-Britannic upon delivery. The car is equipped with its 7.3 V12 twin-ignition engine and runs perfectly. An ingenious engine derived from the Spitfire, it is surprisingly easy and pleasant to drive.
This Phantom III is in its original colours and its condition is consistent with the original. The interior is sublime, the original Lalique ceiling light is still there and all the retractable roof elements are functional.
Restored in 1990, the car was completely restored and repainted by Lecoq, and specialist John Little took care of restoring the mechanics, making the classic engine heating system more reliable.
The car is referenced in all books on the model and is well known to Rolls-Royce enthusiasts. The car has participated in several rallies and concours d'elegance and has won a few: - Best of Show in 1993 at the National Rally in the UK - Hooper Trophy - Benelux Trophy
A recent appraisal values it at €250,000. The car is carefully maintained each year by its owner, a great fan of the brand. The latter owns all the books, magazines and documents featuring this car since 1937.
