History : The Citroën SM, for "S Maserati", was produced from 1970 to 1975. It was the result of a close collaboration between Maserati and the French marque, borrowing the Italian V6 engine in particular.
This SM was delivered new in 1972 and the current owner acquired it in 2023.

Condition:
General: In November 2023, the car was appraised. The expert indicated that it was in very good general condition. This is still the case today.

Exterior: A few years ago, the paintwork was completely redone and appears to have been carried out to the highest standards. All the seals and chrome are in excellent condition. The headlights and fairing are also in very good condition, and the wheel trims look very good.

Interior: The interior is particularly well preserved. The centre console and dashboard, with its clean design and oval counters, are very attractive. The original leathers on the door interiors and of course the seats are in very good condition. The two-tone upholstery has only a few cracks on the back of the driver's seat. The velour carpets are very well preserved and all the on-board instrumentation is functional.

Powertrain: The V6 revs normally and delivers all its power. The mechanical gearbox is fluid and the gear changes are well guided. The hydropneumatic suspension is in perfect working order, and the car rises and falls without a hitch. There are no leaks from the spheres. Overall, the car's handling is very good.

Underbody: The car's underpinnings and rocker panels are sound and free from corrosion. Photos are available on request.
