This car was delivered to France in 1976. The current owner has owned it since 2010. He also has invoices for work carried out since 1996.
Condition :
General: This Alfa Romeo is in good cosmetic and mechanical condition.
Exterior: The bodywork is in good condition overall. However, there are a few minor defects. The original soft top and hard top are both in good condition. The "Caracalla Blue" paintwork, completely redone in 2018, looks very good.
Interior: The black leather interior is in good condition and offers good seating. The steering wheel is probably original. The interior is in very good condition overall and all the on-board instrumentation is functional.
Powertrain: The in-line 4-cylinder engine starts and runs correctly. The engine revs correctly and delivers all its power. The gears shift smoothly without cracking and are well guided. The brakes and suspension are very good, and this Alfa's roadholding is reassuring and very pleasant.

Over the course of its long career, the Spider Alfa Duetto - the generic identity that posterity has retained for this marvellous car - has had several successive faces, without ever really altering the original design, by Aldo Brovarone. Fifty years ago, the model was still young, and had only just seen its stern change from the "cuttlebone" shape (osso di seppia in Italian) to the typical seventies pan coupe, which modernized the whole without distorting it. The technical layout, meanwhile, remained unchanged: an Alfa Spider of that era was a rear-wheel-drive two-seater convertible, powered by the immortal in-house bialbero. Available in several displacements, this legendary engine develops just over one hundred horsepower for 1570 cm3. That's more than enough to enjoy the long rides for which this sensational machine was designed, with your hair blowing in the wind and your hands resting on the large tulip-shaped steering wheel... What more could you ask for to be happy?
