Ah, those cars that don't look like what they are! Those quiet sedans that hide a fiery temperament beneath an unassuming exterior. That role falls to the GTI or the G60. In fact, the VR6 is an enigma. You could say it squares the circle: an excellent highway cruiser with the physique of a near-citadin. What's most striking about the Golf III VR6, paradoxically, is its discretion. A few aesthetic tricks, BBS wheels and a logo on the front grille, nothing betrays the uniqueness of its engine.
