History
This Maserati Merak SS was delivered new in January 1977 in the USA: it was one of the 312 Merak SS produced at the time with the Bora dashboard and conventional (non-hydraulic) suspension.

General state
This Merak SS is a matching numbers model in red livery with a black interior. The paintwork was redone in 2004, as was the upholstery and seat cushions.
The former owner took the opportunity to soften the sides, giving it a little Bora look, and fitted it with special bolt-on wheels made by driver Claude Svelig.
The current owner had the entire mechanical system rebuilt over a period of more than two years (2018/2019) at Isotta, a renowned Maserati specialist in Paris:
- the engine is still being run in after being removed and reassembled,
- the brakes are new,
- the suspension is new,
- the transmission and gearbox have been restored,
- the clutch is new,
- the stainless steel exhaust system is new,
- the consumables are up to date
A dossier worth more than €70,000 is available with the car, proving the quality of the work carried out.
This Merak SS has a written document issued by Fabio Collina (Maserati) confirming the authenticity of the car and its numbers.
A CT will be carried out for the sale and it is important to note that this car will be sold with a 12-month CarJager mechanical warranty
