History
This Aston Martin DB4 MK2, originally delivered new in Canada in 1961, crossed the Atlantic to arrive in France in 1998. The current owner acquired it in 2019. The car has not undergone a full restoration, but it has benefited from significant upgrades, notably a mechanical update involving the installation of a Vantage kit, increasing the engine capacity to 4.2 litres. Part of its history remains incomplete, but registration certificates, a service history book and a few invoices document its journey. The vehicle has remained largely true to its original specifications, although it does show modifications and normal signs of wear and tear associated with its age.

States
General state
This copy is in excellent condition, having been preserved in its original state.
External state
The bodywork is in good condition, although there are some minor scratches visible on the doors and sills. The paintwork, which was repainted several decades ago in its original Desert White colour, now shows some colour variations and a few cosmetic flaws. The spoke wheels, chrome trim, headlight lenses and wing mirrors are well preserved. Please note that the rear number plate light requires repair.
Interior state
The interior of this Aston Martin DB4 has been carefully preserved, offering a unique vintage charm. The red leather front seats have been reupholstered and are in excellent condition, whilst the original rear seats have developed a lovely patina. The carpets and trim are well preserved, showing signs of normal wear. The dashboard and instrumentation, which have not been restored, remain fully functional and are in good condition. A modern car radio has been fitted, adding a subtle touch of modernity.
Mechanical state
Fitted with an engine upgraded to Vantage specifications and featuring three SU carburettors, this Aston Martin delivers optimum performance and smooth running. The 4-speed manual gearbox allows for precise and smooth gear changes. For optimal performance, it is recommended that the tyres, which date from 2012, be replaced. The braking system also requires attention, with the front left brake disc needing to be replaced.
Underbody: The car’s underbody is sound and free from perforating corrosion. Note that underbody protection and protective wax have been applied to the entire underbody.
