What is the Paris Rally?
33 years of automotive passion with RallyStory
For over three decades, the Rallye de Paris has established itself as the must-attend event at the start of the season for enthusiasts of sports cars, both classic and modern. Organized by RallyStory, a specialist in prestigious automotive events since 1987, this non-competitive touring rally celebrates, above all, camaraderie and the joy of driving. The event is not a competition: there is no focus on speed, time, or rankings. Participants come together to share their passion, discover exceptional roads, and enjoy legendary circuits in a privileged setting. RallyStory also organizes other prestigious events: the Coupe des Alpes, the Trophée en Corse, the Marrakech Tour, and the Flat 6 Rally dedicated to Porsches.

The legendary circuits of the Rallye de Paris
The Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome: a cradle of records since 1924
Inaugurated on October 4, 1924, the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry is a landmark in global automotive history. Built in just six months under the leadership of industrialist Alexandre Lamblin, this circuit, located 25 km southwest of Paris, hosted the greatest feats of the interwar period. Its 2,548-meter speed ring, with its banked turns shaped like a cubic parabola designed for speeds of 220 km/h, has seen a parade of legends and records. Between 1925 and 1939, 86% of world speed records were set on this unique track. Renault with its 40 CV, Citroën with the “Petite Rosalie” (which covered 300,000 km in 133 days in 1933), and Sir Malcolm Campbell with his Bluebird: all made history at Montlhéry. The circuit also hosted the first Grand Prix of the Automobile Club de France in 1925. Now classified as “20th-Century Heritage,” the Autodrome remains the last speed circuit in its original configuration still in operation in Europe. The Restaurant 1924, where participants in the Rallye de Paris have lunch, carries on this exceptional legacy.
The Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans: In the Footsteps of the 24 Hours
Built in 1965 and inaugurated in 1966, the Bugatti Circuit owes its name to Jean-Marie Lelièvre, then president of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), a fervent admirer of the French brand that embodied automotive excellence between the two world wars. Stretching 4.185 km, the circuit shares part of its layout with the legendary 24 Hours Circuit: the grandstand straight, the Dunlop chicane, and its famous footbridge. Driving on the Bugatti means treading the same asphalt as the winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The circuit hosted the French Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1967 (won by Jack Brabham), and today remains the venue for the French MotoGP Grand Prix, the 24 Hours of Le Mans Motorcycle Race (since 1978), and the 24 Hours of Le Mans Truck Race.
For participants in the Paris Rally, the traditional “24 Hours-style start” from the pit straight is one of the highlights of the event.

Can I participate on my own?
Registration is on a two-person team basis (driver and co-driver). If you’d like to participate but don’t have a co-driver, some auto clubs can help you find a partner.
What kind of insurance is required to participate?
Your standard auto insurance policy should cover liability toward third parties. However, we recommend that you check with your insurer to confirm that your policy also covers track driving, and consider purchasing additional coverage if necessary.
