History
At the beginning of the 1980s, Franco Sbarro wanted to develop a 'compact and powerful' car and unveiled the 'Super Twelve' at the 1982 Geneva Motor Show: 12 cylinders in a row, 800kg and a paint finish that was surprising, to say the least... the car caused a sensation! Despite the car's appeal, Franco Sbarro did not pursue the development of this Super Twelve because the car was not very torquey, complicated to tune and (very) sensitive to drive. What a disappointment!
Undaunted, and with the support of Bernard Grohe, Franco Sbarro went back to work and came up with the Super Eight in 1984. Aesthetically very similar to the Super Twelve, it was distinguished by its powertrain. Equipped with a Ferrari 308 GTB QV V8 (and its 5-speed gearbox), it remained just as beastly to drive but became more homogeneous and enjoyable.
Conditions
The only one of its kind in the world, this Super Eight is a driving UFO, built by one of the most emblematic engineers of the 1980s. Could this be a 'city' Ferrari before its time?
It's important to note that this Sbarro runs perfectly, has been meticulously maintained and drives regularly. It has a Dutch registration document and can be registered in France. An extensive file is supplied with the car and its history is well known.
