The bodywork and its removable parts are in good overall condition. The red paintwork, which was repainted during the restoration, has a neat, even finish with no apparent imperfections. The underbody, which was inspected on a lifting platform during the October 2022 valuation, shows no signs of impact, distortion or visible rust. The black fabric soft top and its mechanism are in good working order. The chrome trim — bumpers, grille, headlamp surrounds and the antenna on the left rear wing — shows no signs of rust. The steel wheels with standard chrome hubcaps are in good condition.

Inside the cabin, the black imitation leather upholstery with red trim is in very good condition: the seats and door panels are well preserved, and the red carpet shows no significant wear. The soft top and its mechanism operate perfectly. The work carried out by Guigues Interior Concept (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Aix-en-Provence) in 2010 is testament to the special care taken with this interior. The dashboard features a full set of original, fully functional instruments. The car is fitted with an Autovox car radio, a period accessory with a charming patina. The original three-spoke steering wheel with aluminium spokes is in fine condition.

The 1290 cm³ 4-cylinder AR 00530 engine, tuned to 89 chevaux and fully overhauled in July 2020 by a brand specialist, springs to life instantly and revs freely, without the slightest hesitation or any suspicious smoke from the exhaust. Idling is steady and acceleration is lively. It is fuelled by a twin-barrel Weber carburettor, fitted with a 123 Ignition electronic distributor and a Facet electric fuel pump — a combination that discreetly enhances reliability without altering the engine’s characteristic sound and mechanical character. A partitioned sump completes the build. The 5-speed synchronised manual gearbox, fitted in August 2016 by Giglio Racing (an Alfa Romeo specialist based in Toulon) to replace the original 4-speed unit, allows for crisp gear changes, with no play or apparent leakage. The handling is precise and engaging: KONI shock absorbers fitted with stiffer springs and a larger-diameter front anti-roll bar give this Spider sharper handling than the standard model, without sacrificing ride comfort. The drum brakes were fully reconditioned in 2026, with new wheel cylinders and master cylinder; at the same time, the radiator was replaced with an all-copper unit manufactured in France (Provence Radiateurs, Aix-en-Provence). The overall braking efficiency is very satisfactory according to the latest MOT report.
