History
Launched by Alfa Romeo in 1962 following extensive wind-tunnel testing, it cuts through the air more efficiently than most of its rivals of the time. Underneath that understated bonnet lies an aluminium twin-cam four-cylinder engine which, on its own, built the brand’s reputation for decades. Lively, loud and with a character all of its own.
This 1971 model predates the 1972 facelift and retains the original chrome grille – the one sought after by purists. Delivered new in France in 1971, the car had only one owner before being purchased in 2011 by Bruno Manfredini, Alfaholics’ representative for France. He then undertook a restoration using numerous Alfaholics parts (details below). The engine block was replaced with an AR01623, the unit from the Alfetta 2.0 tuned to around 160 ch. The tuning also extended to the running gear, braking system and cooling system. The bodywork and interior have remained strictly original and are in perfect condition. In 2014, the current owner acquired the car. Over the years, he has taken part in numerous events (the Tour Auto in 2013 and 2024, and the Coupe des Alpes).

General state
This Giulia is in excellent overall condition.
Exterior: The car looks superb in its rare original Beige Cava colour. The bodywork is perfectly aligned and the doors and windows close smoothly. The chrome trim on the bumpers and headlights is in very good condition. The car is fitted with four 6x15 wheels with a slight offset. All four tyres are new.
Interior: The cabin is in very good original condition. The door panels are original and are not later reproductions. The wooden dashboard and the centre console are also in excellent condition. The headlining is neither torn nor sagging. All dashboard controls are in working order.
The engine is fitted with Alfaholics performance manifolds and two Weber 40 carburettors. The car is fitted with an aluminium radiator. With forged connecting rods and pistons, and a lightweight flywheel, this Giulia responds instantly; it delivers torque at low revs, with power readily available, making it perfectly suited to modern traffic conditions. The Alfaholics brakes bite with confidence and provide all the assurance needed. The suspension components, also from Alfaholics, offer sound and precise handling. The gearbox operates perfectly (the gears engage smoothly). The car is fitted with a lightweight lithium-ion battery.
Suspension and consumables: All suspension components and their accessories are in perfect condition: control arms, ball joints, bearings, all four brake calipers, as well as all the hoses. The original shock absorbers have been replaced with four Alfaholics shock absorbers and lightweight suspension arms.
