History
This rare Austin Atlantic was delivered new to the UK in 1951 and quickly found its way to France. Its engine, an imposing 2.6-litre tumbled four-cylinder, gave it good performance at the time.
André Trigano distinguished himself at the wheel of this model, taking part in the Tour de France Automobile and the Monte Carlo Rally in 1952. The car subsequently remained in his private collection.

Conditions
Renovated by API over 20 years ago, the bodywork is sound and the paintwork is a lovely shade of pale blue. The interior has a nice patina and looks original. This rare and exotic car has a number of amusing details, including mouldings and taps, a three-piece "panoramic" windscreen and a full dashboard
The current owner bought the car in 2020 and raced it in the Tour Auto in 2021. Following the race, the car underwent extensive reliability work, including a complete engine restoration and the fitting of an aluminium cylinder head.
The car is running well, has been serviced and undergone an expert appraisal. A file of photos proves the quality of the work carried out on the mechanics and a CT will be carried out for the sale.
