History
Sold new in France in 1971, this Bentley T1 has only had two owners since it was first registered. It has always been meticulously maintained, as evidenced by its certified mileage and an extensive file of period invoices and documentation. It is a rare example because of its traceability, its French origin and its superb state of preservation.
Conditions
This model is in excellent condition, both aesthetically and mechanically.
Exterior
The two-tone dark grey/light grey bodywork looks very good, with no dents or deformation. The paintwork is uniform and bright throughout. The chrome, Bentley emblems and headlights are in excellent condition. The car retains its yellow headlights, a sign of its French origin. The original wheels with Bentley hubcaps are present and in very good condition. There are a few minor signs of use consistent with a vehicle of this period, but no major visible defects.
Interior
The interior is superb: the blue leather upholstery has been expertly restored, with no blemishes or tears. The dashboard and woodwork are in excellent condition, as are the roof lining, carpets, door panels and equipment. All the comfort features are functional. The interior ambience perfectly reflects the British elegance of this prestigious saloon.
Mechanical
The 6.2-litre V8 is quick off the mark and smooth to drive. The 4-speed automatic gearbox offers smooth gear changes. The suspension is in good working order, as is the power steering. There are no visible leaks and the running gear is sound (see photo below). Handling is very pleasant, in keeping with the brand's high standards.
