Created to celebrate the legacy of the legendary 507, the BMW Z8 is much more than just a roadster: it is a neo-retro work of art designed by Henrik Fisker. Beneath its sculptural aluminium curves lies the fiery temperament of the E39 M5, with its 400 ch 4.9L V8 engine paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox.
With only 5,703 units produced, the Z8 is now a collector’s masterpiece whose value continues to rise, offering a raw, ‘analogue’ driving experience that has become impossible to find in modern production cars.
This particular car was delivered new in June 2001 in Germany and has had three owners. The car arrived in France in 2023 and has French registration documents. Purchased from Thiesen by the current owner, the car comes with an exceptional service record attesting to a crystal-clear history and a rare standard of maintenance.
This BMW Z8, in the very rare ‘Stratus Grey’ colour, is sold with all its original accessories specific to the Z8: the specific production booklet #AF78793, protective cover, service booklets, hardtop and hardtop support, telephone, etc.

The car features a rare colour combination, with its Stratus Grey paintwork and cream interior. This metallic grey with golden highlights and the beautiful cream leather interior make it particularly desirable.
The car is in excellent overall condition: the paintwork has a lovely sheen, the alloy wheels and chrome trim are in very good condition, the soft top was replaced in 2021 and the hardtop, along with its mounting bracket, is in excellent condition.
Inside, the leather is in excellent condition and perfectly preserved, as are the carpets. The trim, painted to match the bodywork, also looks very good, and all the dashboard instruments are in working order. The car is fitted with heated seats, cruise control, a 6-CD changer, a wind deflector and a hands-free phone system.
Mechanically, the car has always been serviced through the BMW network and is in very good condition. It has just undergone a service in preparation for sale, four new tyres have just been fitted, and it has passed its MOT.
