History
The 1960 Cadillac Series 62 convertible marked the height of the Jet Age with its iconic fins, albeit more tapered and elegant than the exuberant models of 1959. The ultimate symbol of post-war American luxury and success, it offered royal comfort thanks to its powerful 390 ci V8 engine and 5.72-metre-long body. Only 14,030 examples of this model, designed by Bill Mitchell, were ever produced.
This car was built at the Fleetwood factory. It was first registered by General Motors France in Gennevilliers in 1960, making it one of the very few models sold new in France. The current owner purchased it in 1986.

This Cadillac is in very good condition. The bodywork is in very good condition and free of corrosion. The alignment and adjustments are good. The paintwork is smooth and looks great. The rims are well preserved, as are the headlights. The chrome trim has some minor imperfections. The black alpaca soft top is electric and in working order. This car has a soft top cover. Inside, the black leather seats have been reupholstered and are in good condition. The dashboard has no imperfections. The steering wheel is very well preserved. The bottom of the passenger door is slightly damaged. This model is equipped with air conditioning (not working), electric windows and an electric seat. The dashboard instruments are working. The upholstery has been reupholstered to its original condition. When the car was purchased, the radio and the dashboard clock were not working. However, the car has a working radio in the glove compartment.
The 6.4 V8 starts normally and delivers its power linearly. This model is equipped with a stainless steel exhaust system. The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly. The car handles well on the road.
