History
This Ford Thunderbird was delivered new in 1957 and belongs to the first generation, easily recognisable with its porthole hardtop. It has a manual gearbox (rare) and has been beautifully restored.

Between 2014 and 2016, the bodywork was dismantled and given a complete repaint in its original 'colonial white' hue. The upholstery was completely refurbished, including the white vinyl soft top, tonneau cover, carpets and floor mats. All the bodywork joints have been replaced, and the chromework redone.
The engine is a rebuilt standard exchange, imported from the USA in 2016, and all its accessories are new or rebuilt. The running gear has undergone a complete overhaul, as have all the wiring harnesses, electric window motors and electric seat adjustment controls.
A list of the work carried out and numerous parts invoices are available, along with a file of photos taken during this extensive restoration.
The owner took the car on a rally in Vietnam in 2020 and has made it more reliable with a number of interesting options such as 2 fuel pumps, reinforced tyres, a protective casing, etc. These accessories are sold with the car.
After the rally, the owner had a full paint job and mechanical work carried out (€56,000 worth of bills). The car is in superb overall condition and a CT will be carried out for the sale.
