Jaguar Daimler Sp 250 “dart” 1962 / Manual

History: Delivered new in England, in Leeds to be precise, on 11 June 1961. This Daimler is fitted with a fibreglass body and a Triumph TR3 chassis. A total of 2,654 examples of this 2+2 roadster were produced. Our example was restored in 2002, from the bare chassis. Imported to France in 2006, the current owner has owned it since 2015.

Condition:

General: This Daimler presents well.

Exterior: The black paintwork shows a few imperfections due to use and the age of the car. The chrome is sparkling, as are the wheels and bumpers. The headlights and soft top are in very good condition.

Interior: The interior looks very good. The red bucket seats are in excellent condition. The carpets, floor mats and dashboard are in very good condition. All the instruments are functional.

Powertrain: The V8 engine is this car's trump card: it brings a certain mechanical nobility, a pleasant noise and an advantageous level of performance. The gearbox has been completely rebuilt, so gear shifting is excellent and the overdrive is functional. The brake discs are new and have recently been replaced.

Underpinnings: The chassis and structure of this Daimler are sound.
