History

The Peugeot 205 GTI, launched in March 1984, quickly became an iconic GTI of the 1980s, initially with its 105bhp 1.6-litre engine. Designed to compete with the Golf GTI, it won admirers for its efficiency, lightness and incisive roadholding. In 1986, the 1.6-litre version was uprated to 115bhp, and the CTI cabriolet made its appearance. The real turning point came in 1987 with the arrival of the 130bhp 1.9 L, which was more powerful and came with more equipment. The 205 GTI underwent a number of changes, including the adoption of a new dashboard in 1988. Production ended in January 1994, after more than 332,000 units had been produced.

This copy is in very good condition.

🚘The bodywork is in very good condition. A full repaint was carried out in 2024 to restore the original colour. The wheels and headlights are in very good condition. This model is fitted with a sunroof.

The interior is well preserved. The upholstery has been redone and is in new condition. The dashboard is not cracked. The instrumentation is functional.

⚙️Le engine starts and operates normally. The mechanical gearbox shifts smoothly. Roadholding is therefore excellent.
