History

This 205 GTi was first registered in France in 1988. The car was stopped in 1998 following an engine failure, at which point it had 319,000 kilometres. The faulty speedo was replaced by the current one during the restoration between 2019 and 2020. Its owner has owned it since 2020. It is second hand.

General state

The car is in excellent condition. Everything has been completely redone.

External state

On the outside, a complete repaint was carried out to restore the original colour, all the plastics were restored and all the seals were changed. The original wheel rims have been refurbished. The car's exterior is in perfect condition. Photos of the restoration can be viewed in the photo gallery.

Interior state

The interior has been completely emptied, cleaned and refurbished. The seats and dashboard are in like-new condition. The on-board instrumentation is functional. No defects to be found.

Mechanical state

The engine starts and runs normally. The mechanical gearbox shifts smoothly. The running gear is new, so roadholding is excellent.
