History
Delivered new in 1973, this Peugeot 504 Cabriolet epitomises refinement with bodywork by Pininfarina. Series 1 504 cabriolets are the most sought-after, easily recognisable by the small separate lights. In 2017, its current owner acquired it and carried out a major refurbishment.

General state
Very good condition.
External state
The paintwork was redone in 2020. It has a nice shine and shows the car off much better in real life than in the photos. The chrome, alloy wheels, headlights and mirrors are a harmonious complement and are also in good condition. The black soft top works perfectly and was replaced in 2023.
Interior state
The interior of this 504 Cabriolet is superb. The seats are very comfortable. The upholstery was redone in 2023. The on-board equipment is functional. There's no noise when driving, which is proof that the car is in good condition overall.
Mechanical state
Under the bonnet, the 2.0-litre engine works perfectly, offering a smooth and pleasant drive. It's definitely the best compromise for the 504 cabriolet, with a few more horsepower than the 1.8, while remaining much lighter, more economical and more reliable than the V6. The gearbox is smooth and easy to handle. Roadholding, typical of the 504, is particularly pleasant, combining comfort and precision. The cooling and heating systems have been overhauled, and the fuel injection system has been reconditioned by a specialist (Deleplace Automobile). The ignition is new and a number of other important components have been overhauled: alternator, fuel tank, fuel pump, tyres, brakes, universal joints, etc.
