History
The 3.2 was launched in 1984. It retained the model’s timeless design and was fitted with an engine enlarged to 3.2 litres. From 1987 onwards, it was fitted with the G50 gearbox, which was more precise and robust than the 915 gearbox. The Targa version added a removable roof and a rear glass panel, for the pleasure of open-top driving. The 3.2 G50 Targa is the most sought-after 3.2.
🇩🇪 Our example was delivered new on 9 January 1989 in Germany.
🇫🇷 The car arrived in France in March 2003 and our client took possession of it in 2009.
📄 Its documentation includes the original, stamped service booklet, a comprehensive file of invoices and two recent expert reports (2021 and 2026). The mileage is traceable and the car has always been serviced at regular intervals since 1989.
It has become rare to find a 3.2 that is so well documented.

This Targa is in excellent overall condition.
🚘 The wheel alignment is good and the bodywork is sound. The surveyor found no signs of impact or corrosion. The black paintwork was repainted in its original shade (code L700) in the 2000s. It looks very good. The Fuchs alloy wheels show slight signs of scuffing from parking, but this is very subtle. The Targa roof is in good condition and seals well.
The upholstery, in cream leather and grey and black tartan, which contrasts perfectly with the car’s colour, is in good condition. The front seats and rear bench seat are well preserved. The dashboard is also in good condition. The instruments and on-board equipment are in working order. The air conditioning has just been recharged.
⚙️ The 3.2 starts up easily whether cold or warm, with no noise or abnormal smoke. The G50 gearbox shifts smoothly. The handling remains true to the original.
The car underwent a major service at the end of 2025 (€4,500) at the specialist workshop Flat Roads and is ready to hit the road. This work included:
Engine oil change and filter replacement;
Replacement of the alternator;
Replacement of the crankshaft oil seal;
Replacement of the clutch;
Replacement of the starter motor;
Bleeding of the brake fluid.
