History
The 996 is the first water-cooled 911. Launched in 1998, it marked a technical break with previous generations whilst retaining the spirit of the 911. In its convertible form, it offers open-top driving with simple, robust mechanics.
This particular car was delivered new in Germany on 4 October 2000. It was initially serviced by the Porsche network in Munich and then in Hagen, before being imported into France in 2007. The service history book and a file of invoices confirm that the car has been well maintained. The hardtop will, of course, be included with the sale.

General state
This Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is in good overall condition.
🚘The bodywork is in good condition. The black paintwork is original; this 996 has not been repainted. There is a slight dent on the rear right wing and some minor stone chips at the front, with no signs of impact or corrosion. The GT3 alloy wheels are in good condition, although some have slight scratches. A new soft top, with a glass rear window, was fitted at the end of November 2024. The headlights have a slight crack.
The interior is in good condition. The grey leather upholstery is firm and shows no significant wear in the photos. The dashboard is in good condition, with no visible cracks. Some plastic parts show signs of wear, particularly around the centre console. The gear lever and handbrake feature aluminium inserts. The controls and on-board equipment are in working order.
⚙️The flat-6 engine runs well. The car has been well maintained and was serviced at the start of the year. This was a major service, including the replacement of the spark plugs. An important point for this model: the IMS bearing was replaced in January 2024, at the same time as the oil seal and the clutch. A PIWI test was also carried out three years ago. The 2025 MOT report notes a minor fault with the front shock absorber guards. The manual gearbox changes gears smoothly. Please note that an engine endoscopy will be carried out prior to sale.

Services on demand

Passionate about cars from a very young age, Valentin grew up in this world thanks to his father and grandfather. As soon as he got his license, he decided to turn his passion into something concrete by importing a BMW Z3 2.0 Roadster purchased at auction in Japan—an experience that taught him the ropes of importing, registration, and sales. Drawn by the idea of combining automotive pleasure and profit, he continued with iconic models such as the BMW M3 E46 and an Alpina C1 2.3 from 1984. In November 2021, he joined CarJager to structure this activity and support the company's growth, and he is proud of how far the firm has come.
