History
Launched in 1984, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 marked the return of the "Carrera" name and represented the technical culmination of the classic 911 line-up (known as the "G-series"). Its convertible variant, introduced just a year earlier on the SC, became a mainstay of the range, offering a fully integrated soft top for the first time.
Fitted with a flat-six engine that had been 80% redesigned and Bosch Motronic electronic management, it saved the 911 from being replaced by the 928, as had been planned.
This example was delivered new to the United States in 1984. The current owner purchased it in 2023. The car has been brought up to European standards, with the headlights and bumpers having been replaced.

This 911 is in very good overall condition.
The bodywork is in very good condition. The alignment and fit are good. The car was repainted in 2023 in its original colour, “Schieferblau Metallic”. The paintwork is smooth and has a lovely depth. The alloy wheels are very well preserved. The headlight lenses show no particular defects. The soft top is in working order.
Inside the cabin, the blue leather seats, refurbished in 2023, are in very good condition. The dashboard shows no defects. The black steering wheel is in good condition.
The 3.2-litre flat-six starts normally and revs freely. Gear changes in the 915 five-speed manual gearbox are smooth and pleasant. The road holding is very good.
