History
The Porsche 912 SWB (for Short Wheelbase) was launched in 1965 as a more affordable alternative to the new 911, using the latter's bodywork but the 4-cylinder engine of the 356 SC. Produced with this short wheelbase until 1968, it offered a more balanced weight distribution and remarkable agility thanks to its engine, which was lighter than the Flat-6. It was an immediate commercial success, even outselling the 911 on its debut, before its chassis was lengthened in 1969 to improve stability.

The bodywork is sound and in very good condition. The yellow paintwork is tight and has good depth. The headlights and chrome are in very good condition. The rims are in their original condition and show very slight signs of rubbing.
On board, the black leather seats are new. The dashboard is faultless. The wooden steering wheel is in excellent condition. The headlining is tight. The instruments are functional.
The flat-4 starts up smoothly and revs well. The clutch is in very good condition. The 5-speed manual gearbox is precise and pleasant. Roadholding is very good.
