History:
The Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI 16s Match is an iconic version of the GTI series, renowned for its performance, style and contribution to the motoring culture of the 80s and 90s. This particular ‘Match’ variant boasts a number of unique features that make it a sought-after model for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
In fact, the limited production run of just 2,000 numbered examples was so successful that Volkswagen decided to produce a further 2,000 vehicles to meet customer demand.
The Golf 2 GTI 16s Match is distinguished by its DIGIFIZ speedometer, tinted rear lights, special interior, power steering and sunroof.
Exterior:
This car has been fully painted. The bodywork is in perfect condition, as are the wheels.
Interior:
The interior of this car is very well preserved. The fabric seats are in very good condition: they are neither sagging nor torn. The on-board instrumentation is functional. The only downside is that the driver's door panel does not match the upholstery typical of the Match version.
