History
The Volvo P1800 Jensen, produced between 1961 and 1963 by Jensen Motors in England, is extremely rare, as only around 6,000 were made before Volvo repatriated production to Sweden. These models, recognisable by their finish and specific details such as the 'Jensen' emblem, are highly prized by collectors. Their limited production run and their role in Volvo's history make them sought-after and prestigious vehicles. Compared to the '1800S' models produced in Sweden, Jensen cars are much rarer and harder to find.
Conditions
The car underwent a complete restoration in 2016: mechanical and bodywork. Following this extensive work, an expert report was drawn up. It states that the restoration is of very high quality.
The car is now in very good condition.
The car is now in very good condition.
Exterior
The bodywork, the fruit of Italian pencil strokes, looks very good. The paintwork, which has been professionally redone, is in very good condition, with just one crack. The Lucas headlights and stick-on wheel trims are in excellent condition, as is the chrome. There is a slight dent in the front grille.
Interior
The interior is in very good condition. The leather upholstery is tight and free from the slightest tear. The black stitched leather dashboard looks very good. The instruments are functional.
Mechanical
Everything from the engine to the running gear was overhauled during the restoration. To facilitate starting, an ignition and an electric fuel pump have been fitted. The engine works perfectly, as does the gearbox and its overdrive. The car's roadholding is very sound.
The description of the vehicle is based on information provided by the seller, who remains solely responsible for the condition of the vehicle. CarJager verifies their consistency.
