In March 1963, Citroën caused a sensation at the Geneva Motor Show with the launch of the 2 CV AZAM (standing for ‘Améliorée’), a luxury version designed to appeal to a more urban clientele. Given its immense success, it quickly became the flagship of the range, remaining in production until 1967.
This example is one of the first to be produced and was delivered new in April 1963. The current owner acquired it as a birthday present in 2016. He is believed to be the third owner. He undertook restoration work in 2019–2020. The invoices for this work can be viewed directly in the “Documents” section.
This 2CV is in very good overall condition.
The car is in very good condition. It has been completely stripped down; the chassis has been sandblasted and treated, and all parts have been repainted by a bodywork specialist, including the interior. The paintwork looks excellent. The exterior fittings are in perfect condition (lights, bumpers, windows, chrome trim, etc.). The soft top is in excellent condition.
The owner informs us that a chrome trim strip is missing from the front passenger door and that the door itself has a crack. This can be seen in the gallery.
The interior is in very good condition. The upholstery and seat belts were replaced in 2020 and are in very good condition. The dashboard instruments are fully functional. The windscreen wiper motor is brand new.
Mechanically, the car is in very good working order. The engine has been regularly serviced, with the most recent service carried out in January 2026.
The tyres were fitted in 2017.
