History
This rare Facel III was delivered new from the factory to its first owner on 31 January 1963, and its chassis indicates that it was the 77th of 432 produced. Its history and the list of previous owners are well known, as the car was in Alsace for a long time before joining a private collection in the south-west of France.
Conditions
Its paintwork - metallic grey #3427 - is indeed its original colour and it was completely redone 18 years ago after extensive bodywork. This car is therefore in very good overall condition, sound and true to its original state.
The interior has been overhauled and looks good, all the instrumentation is functional and the black skai upholstery has been restored. Most of the fittings have been changed and the car is in very good condition.
The Volvo B18 engine block still has its original number plate and the correct number. The gearbox is the original one, with a functional overdrive (period option).
Facel IIIs are rare and there are very few of them on the market. Our example - a French one - will not require any particular expenses from its future owner.
It is important to note that this car will be sold overhauled, with a CT passed for the sale and with a 12-month CarJager breakdown-mechanical warranty for the sale. The complete file will be handed over at the time of sale.
