History
The Omega Evolution 500 was born out of motor racing. Opel entered the Omega in the DTM and had to produce 500 road-going versions to meet homologation requirements. Irmscher built both the racing version and the road-going version. In the end, only 321 units rolled off the production line.
The 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine develops up to 230 ch. The Omega Evolution 500 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. It features widened wings, a large front spoiler and a rear wing. The “Evo 500” logo remains discreet on the side panel. It predates the Omega Lotus, which is better known but less rare. It was never officially sold in France.
This particular car has been registered in France since 1 August 1991.
