History
The Porsche 944 Turbo Cup was created in 1986 in the workshops of Porsche’s motorsport department in Weissach. It marked the launch of the brand’s very first one-make series, the direct predecessor of the current Carrera Cup.
Purchased new in 1987, chassis number WPOZZZ95ZHN104166 was registered in 1991 and competed in the 944 Turbo Cup for the 1987 and 1988 seasons.
It remains entirely in its original specification (roll cage, ‘telephone’ wheels and magnesium sump, lightweight GKF bonnet, Matter roll bars, Recaro driver’s bucket seat, 4-point harness, brake balance valve, .....) and is fitted with the 290 cv kit.
It has had only two owners: the driver at the time, Mr Dermagne, and the current owner, who has owned it since 2005. The FFSA logbook records entries in around twenty races at legendary French circuits between 1987 and 1988.
This Porsche 944 Turbo Cup is in excellent condition, entirely in its original specification.

Exterior: The car is in very good overall condition and the original red paintwork has stood the test of time well. It shows a slight, consistent patina with a few perfectly normal imperfections (stone chips, visible in the photo gallery). The original 16-inch magnesium wheels are fitted with four tyres dated 2024.
Interior: Inside, the racing atmosphere is evident, enhanced by two bucket seats, including the original Recaro on the driver’s side. At the time, the cars came with an original passenger seat, which was later replaced by a second Oreca bucket seat. All dashboard components are in working order.
Mechanics: The turbocharged four-cylinder engine has been regularly serviced. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2026. The original Sonauto kit boosts power to 290 chevaux and transforms the car into a true racing car. Acceleration is sharp and quite impressive! The suspension is perfectly set up and the braking is very effective. The test drive was a success; the car is ready to hit the road – or the track.
