History

This Triumph was delivered new in 1968. It was imported into France in 2018 and its current owner acquired it two years ago. Extensive work was carried out in 2018 (more than €10,000).

States

General state

This TR250 is in excellent condition. The appraisal carried out in 2020 highlights the quality of its restoration.

External state

The bodywork still looks great. The paintwork is in very good condition. A white line runs across the width of the bonnet. This detail suits the Triumph perfectly, highlighting its generous curves and recalling the sporting spirit of the British brand. The spoke wheels, chrome and headlights are in excellent condition. The car's soft top was replaced by a new alpaca one in 2018, so it is tight and shows no discolouration or tears.

Interior state

The black leather interior has been completely redone, and today the seat leathers are in very good condition, as is the wood-panelled dashboard. The wooden steering wheel looks great and adds character to the car. The on-board instrumentation is functional.

Mechanical state

On the engine side, this Triumph's inline 6-cylinder starts from a standing start and delivers a powerful and responsive riding experience. The gearbox has been completely overhauled for 2018 and offers smooth, seamless gear changes. Road holding is very good.
