History
This first series Fiat Dino Spider 2.0 (#00218) was delivered new in Italy in February 1967 in this beautiful Blu Francia colour. It was one of the very first and rare models sold (#218) to benefit from the vinyl and aluminium dashboard.
It has its original engine block (matching numbers) and its original colour.
This car went to California in the 1980s and was repatriated to Holland in 1993 by JW Franken (head of the Dino register for Holland). He kept the car until 2012, when the current owner bought it.
It is interesting to note that the car has been meticulously maintained over the past 30 years. A great deal of work has been carried out on the car by Dutch and then French specialists in the restoration of this model. A file of invoices is included with the car.
Here is a complete summary:
- 1994: suspension and brakes changed,
- 1996: original 2-litre V6 engine completely rebuilt with, among other things,
new pistons and camshafts, electronic ignition, large radiator installed (of
radiator (2.4 litres), new oil and water pumps, clutch, valves and cylinder heads
and unleaded cylinder heads. Approximately 20,000 km have been covered since this restoration

- 2007: The transmission was rebuilt with new synchros,
