History
The Lotus Exige S2 builds on the Elise’s foundation to create a more radical car. With a fibreglass body, a bonded aluminium chassis and a Toyota engine mounted in a mid-rear position, the design prioritises lightness above all else. This coupé has carved out a unique niche amongst the sports cars of the 2000s, thanks to a power-to-weight ratio that remains the benchmark.
This particular car was built in the UK: it was first registered on 21 April 2006 and had its first service on 11 May 2006 in East Sussex. It was subsequently imported to Sweden, where it underwent a tuning programme in 2018–2019, and then to France, where it has been registered since 22 April 2022. Its current owner is the third to own it. According to the seller, this Exige has never been in an accident and has seen very little track time.
Whilst in Sweden, this Exige underwent a performance upgrade (KomoTec turbo kit, GT3 intercooler, bucket seats and harnesses, exhaust system and diffuser).

This Lotus Exige S2 is configured specifically for track use.
The bodywork is finished in white. The roof and rear spoiler are made of carbon fibre. The wheels are black. Apart from two minor imperfections on the door and the front end, the bodywork is in excellent condition. The lights and wing mirrors are in good condition. The rear is fitted with a carbon-fibre Reverie diffuser.
The interior has been fully upgraded. The Reverie carbon fibre bucket seats are fitted with Schroth 4-point harnesses. Neither of these items is original. The door panels and centre console are finished in carbon fibre. The steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara. A roll cage is fitted inside the cabin.
The Toyota 4-cylinder engine is fitted with a Komo-Tec supercharger kit, featuring a Lotus GT3 air-to-water intercooler. The gearbox has been reinforced to improve reliability, at a cost of €7,000. The exhaust system is not original. The factory exhaust will be supplied with the car.
These components are in good working order; the gears change smoothly and the car handles well.
