History
Launched in 1999, the Porsche 996.1 GT3 marked a historic turning point by becoming the first model in the GT3 line-up, designed to homologate the racing version for the GT3 Cup class. It is distinguished by its 3.6-litre ‘Mezger’ engine, a naturally aspirated unit derived from competition racing producing 360 hp, renowned for its exceptional reliability and metallic sound.
Aesthetically, it is recognisable by its famous ‘banana wing’ rear spoiler, whilst retaining the front lights of the 996 Phase 1. Devoid of electronic driving aids (apart from ABS), it offers a raw and demanding driving experience that immediately appealed to track purists. Only 1,868 units were produced.
This car was delivered new on 23 November 2000 at the Porsche Centre in Lyon. This particular car has always been serviced within the Porsche network.

This model is in excellent condition.
The bodywork is in very good condition. The alignment and fit are good. The grey paintwork is smooth and has a lovely sheen. The alloy wheels are well preserved. The headlight lenses show no particular defects.
Inside the cabin, the black leather bucket seats are in near-new condition and offer good support. The dashboard and door panels are upholstered in leather and show no defects. The floor mats and carpets are in good condition. The instrument panel is fully functional.
The 3.6-litre ‘Mezger’ six-cylinder engine starts easily and revs freely. The clutch is in very good condition. The six-speed manual gearbox offers precise and smooth gear changes. The road holding is excellent.
