History:
This BMW was delivered new to its first owner on February 24, 1936, in Chemnitz, Germany. The current owner bought and imported the car in 2020. This car was converted to 12v in 2000 and underwent an engine restoration in 2013.
Condition:
General: This BMW is in very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork presents very well. The two-tone blue and light beige paint is in very good condition, with some imperfections that remain discreet. The navy blue soft top is in very good condition. The wheels, painted in the same colors as the body, are in excellent condition. The chrome is shiny. The headlights are in very good condition.
Interior: The interior is also in very good condition. The beige leather is particularly well-preserved, taut, and without signs of tearing. The seats have retained good support. The wood trim is in very good condition. All the dashboard instruments are functional. Note that the lining of the soft top has a tear near the arch.
Mechanical: The 6-cylinder engine was redone in 2013; it runs very well, the mechanics are well-tuned and reliable. Even in this car from the 1930s, you can already find the DNA of true BMWs: a longitudinal inline cylinder, rear-wheel drive, and the specific sound that accompanies the whole! The gearbox allows smooth gear changes. The driving behavior is healthy and consistent. In short, beautiful German engineering!
