History
This BMW was delivered new to its first owner on 24 February 1936 in Chemnitz (Germany). Its current owner purchased the car and imported it in 2020. The car was converted to 12V in 2000 and the engine was overhauled in 2013.

General state
The bodywork looks excellent. The two-tone blue and light beige paintwork is in very good condition; whilst a few imperfections are naturally visible, these are very subtle. The navy blue soft top is in very good condition. The wheel rims, painted in the same colours as the bodywork, are in excellent condition. The chrome trim is gleaming. The headlights are in very good condition.
The interior is also in very good condition. The beige leather upholstery is particularly well-preserved, taut and shows no signs of tearing. The seats retain good support. The wood trim is in very good condition. All the on-board instrumentation is in working order. Note that the soft top lining has a tear near the roll bar.
The 6-cylinder engine was overhauled in 2013; it runs very smoothly, the mechanics are well-tuned and reliable. This 1930s car already embodies the DNA of a true BMW: a longitudinal inline engine, rear-wheel drive, not to mention the distinctive sound that accompanies it all! The gearbox allows for smooth gear changes. The handling is sound and consistent. In short, it is a car that is surprisingly modern in its engineering and easy to drive.
