History: The BMW Isetta, nicknamed the "bubble car," is an icon of the 1950s. This popular microcar is distinguished by its unique design with a front door and a single-cylinder four-stroke engine. Introduced in 1955, the Isetta became a symbol of economical and practical mobility, marking post-war automotive history and economically reviving BMW.

Manufactured and delivered in Germany in 1962, this Isetta has remained in Germany. It was acquired from the first owner in 2021 by a collector in its original, unrestored condition. The current owner then undertook, over two years, a complete and high-quality restoration, attending to every detail of the car to enhance it.

No expense has been spared to make this Isetta one of the most unique and beautiful available on the global market. A comprehensive restoration file with over 50 invoices totaling more than €15,000 attests to the meticulous attention and care devoted to this car.

Condition:
General: This 1962 Isetta is in excellent condition.

Exterior: The bodywork has been completely stripped and restored, and it now features a stunning two-tone paint in dark and light blue. The paint, very well applied, is in excellent condition with no noticeable defects. The sunroof is new, and the chrome and wheels are in perfect condition.

Interior: The interior has been entirely redone in custom genuine “Cognac” leather. This includes the bench seat, steering wheel, and door panels. Custom-made sisal carpets match the leather interior. The Isetta’s door opens smoothly, and all gauges work perfectly.

Mechanical : The 245 cm³ single-cylinder engine runs perfectly, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. They were completely rebuilt during the restoration. The same goes for the electrical system, clutch, tires, and braking system, which are all new. With the engine on one side of the vehicle and the transmission on the other, the weight distribution is well balanced.

Undercarriage: The undercarriage is sound and free of corrosion. Photos are available upon request.
