History
History:
This 2002 Ti was originally delivered new in France. It was prepared for historic rallies in the 2000s, with a high standard of tuning. Its current owner purchased it in 2017, but ultimately did not race it.
Condition:
Overall: This car is in good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork is in good overall condition. The bonnet has been modified to be secured with a quick-release fastening system. The wings have been widened to accommodate the wider wheels.
The body has been reinforced at the welds. It is structurally sound. The chrome bumpers have been retained and have a lovely shine.
Interior: The interior has been stripped of all non-essential items to lighten the car and optimise it for rallying. Safety equipment is in place and is detailed in the equipment list below. Significant electrical work has been carried out to ensure everything is accessible and clearly visible on the dashboard (switches/fuses/relays).
By racing car standards, the interior is in good condition.
Mechanics: The mechanics are in good working order. It is powered by two WEBER 45 DCOE carburettors. The reverse-shift Getrag gearbox is a considerable asset. It is short enough to provide better acceleration. Having first gear ‘down low’ means second and third are opposite, which is ideal as these are the gears most frequently used in sporty driving. Road holding is excellent with well-tuned suspension. A hydraulic handbrake has been fitted to better control skidding in tight hairpin bends or on slippery surfaces. The 75% limited-slip differential significantly improves traction.
