History
The Ford Mustang immediately revolutionised the American market upon its launch in 1964 by creating the ‘pony car’ category: compact, affordable cars that could be customised to the hilt. To reinforce this sporty image among young people, Ford launched the Fastback model in September of the same year, characterised by its sloping roofline and aerodynamic air vents. This dynamic version, quickly adapted by Carroll Shelby for racing, firmly established the Mustang as a global icon of pop culture and cinema. Fitted with the melodious 289ci ‘Code C’ V8 and a rare manual gearbox, it now embodies the original purity and golden age of 1960s muscle cars.
This car was assembled at the Dearborn plant in the United States in 1965.
This Ford was imported into France in 2018 and has been owned by the same owner ever since.
