This Jaguar XK140 Coupé was sold new in France by importer Charles Delecroix on 04/02/1956, and was acquired by the current owner in 1977. It has just undergone extensive restoration and reliability work (€40,000 of invoices, details available on request).
Exterior: The bodywork is superb, in Jaguar Sherwood Green. The chrome has also been restored. The car is fitted with rear spats.
Interior: The upholstery, in its original colour, has been completely redone. The walnut dashboard is in excellent condition. The wiring harness was also checked and redone during the restoration. All the instruments are functional.
Mechanical: The matching engine has been checked and rebuilt. It is in excellent working order. The car starts and runs well both hot and cold. The car revs well and shifts well. The gearbox is pleasant. The gears are well synchronised. The XK140's roadholding is very satisfactory. The XK140 is fitted with an additional electric fan.
Chassis and underpinnings : The underbody is rust free, with no visible signs of an accident.
