History
Delivered new in the United States, this Corvette then travelled to Hampshire in the UK before arriving in France in 2017. A great deal of work has gone into this completely restored car.
The Split Window was only produced in 1963, with around 10,500 examples leaving the factory. This is a first series with the original options: windscreen sun strip and wooden steering wheel.

General state
This C2 is in excellent condition.
External state
The bodywork is in excellent condition. The 'Black Tuxedo' paintwork looks particularly good, with a very nice sheen, and there are no particular flaws. The wheels, typical of this generation, are also in excellent condition and fitted with whitewall tyres. The chrome all round the car is very shiny. The retractable headlights are functional and in excellent condition.
Interior state
The interior is also in excellent condition. The dark beige vinyl is in excellent condition, tightly stretched and with no signs of tearing. There are no defects on the dashboard. The wooden steering wheel is in excellent condition. The carpets are in the same condition as the rest of the car. All the instruments are functional.
Mechanical state
The original V8 was replaced for a 427ci small block in 2019, and has subsequently been well maintained, the carburettor was changed in 2021. The original engine (327ci V8) will be reinstalled in the car for sale. Today, this engine starts well and delivers its full power. The mechanical gearbox provides smooth, well-guided gear changes, and was changed in 2022. Roadholding is very good.
