Citroën Sm Injection 1974 / Manual

The bodywork was fully repainted in 2022, following a complete stripping. The original Citroën metallic grey colour is uniform and looks good overall.
We note a few minor imperfections, visible in the detailed photographs. The car is fitted with its five original Michelin RR (reinforced resin) wheels, which are highly prized by collectors. They are in good condition. The fifth resin spare wheel is located in the boot. The chrome trim and headlights are well preserved.

Inside the cabin, the original brown leather upholstery is taut and has a lovely patina. The brown carpets and the dashboard are also very well preserved. The car retains its electric windows, height-adjustable steering wheel and original Blaupunkt radio. All these features are in working order. The air conditioning is fitted but has been deliberately disconnected.

The Maserati fuel-injected V6 engine was replaced as a standard exchange unit in July 1979 by the first owner, when the car had 73,000 km on the clock.
The engine now runs perfectly and has undergone extensive work to improve reliability. The three timing belts have been replaced, along with their tensioners. The valves have been reconditioned. The radiator and hoses have been replaced. In 2026, a 123 Ignition system was fitted, with timing belt and valve clearance adjustments. The clutch was replaced in 2010 and the gearbox was upgraded for greater reliability. As for the chassis, the ball joints, the shock absorber, the steering and the stainless steel exhaust have been refurbished.
The stainless steel exhaust enhances the V6’s sound. The road handling is extremely sound, both at low speeds and on the motorway.
The car consumes around 9 litres per 100 km on country roads, and 12.2 litres per 100 km at 140 km/h on the motorway. The suspension works perfectly.
