History
The Facel Vega Facel II (type HK2), produced from 1961 to 1964, marked its era. The successor to the HK 500 coupé, this French Grand Tourer was quickly hailed by the international press as the most beautiful post-war French car and the fastest four-seater coupé in the world.
Presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1961, its sleek looks immediately won over the public. Its elegance was often compared to that of the designs of the greatest Italian stylists. Long and low, the Facel II was fitted with an extremely slender roof, adorned with stainless steel inserts. New headlamps were fitted, the Megalux, created specially by Marchal for Facel Vega.
This model is very rare, with the brand stating that only 184 examples were produced.
🇺🇲 This Facel was delivered new in 1962 from the factory to its first owner in the United States.
🇫🇷 It made its return to France in 1995. This model benefited from a complete restoration that lasted two years (supported by a file of photos). Its current owner bought it in 2005.
🏅 This Facel won the 2011 La Baule Concours d'Elegance en Automobile.
