History

This Ferrari 250 GTE (chassis no. 3791 and engine no. 3791) was delivered new in September 1962 in France to its first owner, Mr Vaysse, who kept the car for a long time. The second owner purchased the car in 2000, and the current owner, who is also French, has owned the car for two years.

States

General state

The car has a lovely patina, and it has become rare to find a 250 GTE in such an authentic condition whilst being in such good mechanical order: sound chassis and underbody, no rust, original windows, original lights and chrome, etc.

This 250 GTE retains its original Borrani wheels, all its interior fittings, and the entire instrument panel is fully functional. Engine compression is very good, the engine block and gearbox are leak-free, and the car runs smoothly.

The car has been carefully maintained (full mechanical restoration 20 years ago, regular servicing since) and has undergone significant work prior to sale:

Top end and ignition system overhauled,
New tyres,
Brakes overhauled,
General service including engine and gearbox oil change,
Running gear,
New hoses,
Consumables up to date,
MOT passed for sale.

This 250 GTE is in a rare original condition and has no particular faults. It is in good working order and will not require any further expenditure from its future owner.
