History
This Jaguar E-Type 3.8 was assembled in March 1963 and delivered new to New York to its first owner, who lived in Detroit, Michigan, and kept it for only a few years.
In 1969, the second owner, also from Michigan, bought it and kept it until his death in 1997. His son then inherited it. Extensive restoration work was carried out during the 2000s, all of which is documented in invoices. The current owner purchased the car and had it imported by a specialist in 2018. He is a meticulous collector based in Aix-en-Provence. He has decided to sell it to free up space in his garage.

General state
This Type-E is in exceptional overall condition, both in terms of its appearance and its mechanical condition. The mechanical components are in a very reassuring state, almost as good as new.
The bodywork was carefully restored around twenty years ago. A removable number plate holder is fitted at the front to make it easier to open the bonnet.
The interior is in superb condition, having been fully refurbished in 2004 and very well maintained ever since. The original Blaupunkt radio is still fitted.
The engine starts easily and is a pleasure to drive. The overdrive works very well. The handling is reassuring.
Structurally, this is a very sound car.
