History
Unveiled for the first time in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type was immediately hailed as one of the world’s most beautiful cars. It was designed by Malcolm Sayer, an aerodynamicist at Jaguar. The Series 1 3.8, produced until 1964, remains the purest of the E-Types. It introduced the XK six-cylinder engine and a timeless silhouette that remains a benchmark to this day.
This particular car was delivered new in France in 1964. It has been owned by its current owner since June 2023 and holds a classic car registration certificate.

This example is in excellent overall condition.
The bodywork is in superb condition. The Opalescent Silver Blue paintwork is uniform. The spoked wheels are in good condition, as are the underbody and exhaust system, which are clean and show no signs of corrosion. The headlights are clear and in good condition. The soft top is also in good condition.
Inside the cabin, the navy blue leather upholstery is well preserved. The dashboard is in good condition, featuring its original round dials. The three-spoke wooden steering wheel looks good. The on-board instruments are in working order.
The inline six-cylinder engine starts and revs normally. The car has been regularly serviced over several decades, with a comprehensive file of invoices. The Moss gearbox shifts smoothly. The road holding is very good.
