History
🇺🇸 This Jaguar XK120 was manufactured on 4 July 1951 and delivered new to its first owner, Charles J. Hughes, in the USA.
🇩🇪 After passing through the hands of an owner in Seattle, the car was acquired in the 2000s by a German owner who undertook a complete restoration, which was completed in 2008.
🇫🇷 In September 2018, our client acquired it.
📄 The car comes with a comprehensive file including its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) certificate and a file of invoices spanning over 20 years. This XK120 successfully competed in the 2008 Mille Miglia, and still bears the verification seals from that event.

🚘 This XK120 is in excellent overall condition.
The ‘Gunmetal Grey’ paintwork, chosen during the restoration to replace the original ‘Pastel Blue’, is in very good condition. The chrome trim is well preserved. The soft top and side screens are also in good condition.
The red leather interior is superb: the seats, door panels and dashboard look excellent. All the instruments are in working order.
🔧 The chassis and engine numbers match. The car starts immediately and runs smoothly, with no vibration or
abnormal noise. The gearbox was overhauled (gears, bearings, shafts) in 2014, and the gears change smoothly.
The car has undergone several upgrades to enhance its reliability for rally use: dual-circuit braking system, electronic ignition, alternator integrated into the body of an original dynamo, and stainless steel exhaust.
🛞 Michelin Pilot X tyres deemed to be in good condition during the inspection carried out in November 2025. Tread depths were measured:
Front: 4.0 mm
Rear: 3.5 mm
