History: The car was delivered new to the United States in 1950. The current and fourth owner purchased it in 2020 from its previous owner, a collector who had owned it for 30 years. He then undertook a complete restoration of the car in 2021 at Authentic Classic Cars, at a cost of approximately €12,000.

Condition:
General: This XK120 is in excellent condition.

Exterior: The bodywork is well preserved overall. It shows some signs of age, particularly on the bonnet, but remains attractive nonetheless. The wheels are in good condition, as are the chrome trim and headlights. The soft top has a very slight tear but remains fully functional. The side screens are present. The car is fitted with spads on the rear wheels, a sought-after feature that adds an extra touch of elegance.

Interior: The cabin is very clean. The seats are in excellent condition, as are the carpets and the dashboard. We note only a small tear on the side of the driver’s seat, which the owner plans to have repaired before the sale. The dashboard instruments are in working order.

Mechanics: The car was fully serviced and upgraded for reliability in 2021. The engine is ‘matching’ according to the Jaguar Heritage certificate. It starts and runs perfectly. The gears change very smoothly, as is standard for MOSS gearboxes. The braking system has also been overhauled. Consequently, the car’s road holding is surprising for a vehicle designed in the early 1950s. Furthermore, the engine is fitted with electronic ignition for flawless starting in all conditions.
