History
This 190 SL was purchased new from the Mercedes dealership in Lyon in 1963 and remained in the hands of the same owner until 2021. When the current owner took possession of the car, it had not been driven for many years, so he undertook to get it back on the road by changing all the parts that needed replacing. The car is matching numbers and the paintwork (80%), hard top, soft top and leathers are all original. This car is also Mercedes certified.

General state
This car has been restored to its original state. It is in very good condition with a superb patina.
External state
The bodywork is in very good condition. The grey paintwork has a superb patina, and there are a few minor blemishes, including surface corrosion in a few places on the rocker panels. All this is consistent with the car's age and adds more cachet and authenticity than anything else. The hard top is in very good condition, as is the soft top. The chrome has not been changed, but it has been polished to a very high shine. The wheels are in the same condition as the rest of the car, with gleaming chrome and a patinated paint finish. The headlights and mirrors are in excellent condition.
Interior state
The interior is in excellent condition. The red leathers have simply been cleaned and, despite their age, show no signs of tearing. The carpets have also been changed. The dashboard is in very good condition. All the on-board instrumentation is functional
Mechanical state
The 4-cylinder engine has been given a thorough overhaul, and nothing has been left to chance. It starts easily and runs very well. The gearbox provides smooth, well-guided gear changes. The handling is very good, especially as the running gear has been restored and the shock absorbers changed. The full list of work carried out is available on request.
